My parents work in a restaurant. Someone came to the school and asked us if we were interested in joining the program and working construction. I wanted to try it so that I could decide what I want to be in the future.
The program's great. Ive gone to different work sites, at Sanchez Elementary, Cabrillo, and now at Kingdom Pipeline. Im learning computer programs like Microsoft Excel and mapping programs for installing pipelines. It's great seeing people on jobsites working really hard and doing a good job. I like that a lot. The best thing is seeing how they are organized. I'm still thinking about what I want to do, if I want to be in construction or maybe an engineer. I like working in an office.
