I like working on mechanical things. I came from an automotive background and got this opportunity by checking the website. So far so good. I'm in my fourth year and looking forward to turning out in the trade. I like to work in repairs; repairs are exciting. They are the backbone of the industry. Once they sell the equipment, it must be kept in top condition. The pay is in maintenance and keeping customers happy.
Most important thing, following the directions from mechanics, showing a positive attitude and an eagerness to learn and be on top of what I'm supposed to do. There is a lot to learn every day, new equipment, old equipment, that is the way it is. Learning electronics is the hardest thing for me. I'm from Kenya, but I live here now, and I only go back to visit my family.
