I'm reviewing electromagnetism and transformers, just trying to dust the cobwebs off of what I learned last year. I'm trying to remember all the formulas. The elevator trade is part of our family: my grandpa, my uncle and my dad, and now I'm in the trade.

The trade is changing so much that I got to teach my dad some stuff. It was fun helping him after all the help he's given me. He's an instructor in the NEIEP program. But I'm working on the new Schindler elevator equipment, and they have their own drives and equipment, and he's worked more on Otis equipment.

I'm looking forward to troubleshooting. And working in the service end. Solving problems intrigues me. I like fixing things, especially ones other people can't figure out.
