 “I’ve
been working here one month and I love the job. I’ve never worked
with a group of people like this before. I’m the teacher, but they
are teaching me as much as I teach them. I work with people from every
part of society, and I’m learning how people don’t need to be
judged by anything but the content of their character. It has opened my
eyes.”
He describes one client: “She catches other people’s
mistakes as they come through. I didn’t think she was as high functioning
because she wasn’t as verbal as others. But she catches on quicker
than they do. So it has taught me not to use that [verbal skills] to judge
people.”
