Another area is filed with rows of green curtained booths, with square metal Lincoln and Miller welding machines, and large ventilation pipes. The center has state-of-the-art welding equipment and a testing facility. Not only apprentices, but also journeymen iron workers, can get instruction and the practice time in welding. The center is accredited, allowing workers to get welding certification, increasing their employability.
